"Make-It Monday" Night in Bethlehem

Hello Everyone! Oh my goodness...it's Thanksgiving week already...are you ready?  I have all of my groceries purchased and I'm ready to go!  Sunday was our harvest dinner at church...so I can check that off my list. Wednesday is my husbands birthday...he is so sweet to me! I always have the family pick what they want for dinner on their birthday and he chose PIZZA this year...all because he wanted to make my life easier.  I'm gonna make a scrumptios salad too...because he LOVES salad! My adult kids start arriving that same day, so pizza will be nice and easy!  Safe travels to all of  you and your loved ones who will be traveling!  Enjoy your week

I wanted to remind you that Online Extravaganza began today. Click on the image below to shop!

Today is "Make-It Monday" and I have a beautiful card to share with you!

"Make-It Monday": Night in Bethlehem card created with Stampin' Up! products
All images © 1990-2017 Stampin’ Up!®

  • Card Stock and Paper – Basic Black (121045); Whisper White (100730); Gold Glimmer Paper (133719)
  • Stamp Pads – Flirty Flamingo (141397); Rich Razzleberry (126950); Fresh Fig (144082); Basic Black Archival (140931)
  • Miscellaneous – Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263); Precision Base Plate (139684); Magnetic Platform (130658); Bethlehem Edgelits Dies (144676); Stamping Sponges (141337); Mini Dimensionals (144108)

  • Basic Black (base): 5 ½” x 8 ½”, folded in half
  • Basic Black: 4 ¼” x 5 ½”
  • Whisper White: 3 ½” x 5 ¼”
  • Gold Glimmer Paper: ½” x 5 ¼” plus scrap

  1. Cut the sponge into wedges so you have a minimum of 4 different pieces. You will use a different wedge for each color.  You will need to allow each layer of ink to dry before moving on to the next color.  If you own a Heat Tool you can speed up the drying process by using it on the lowest temperature (speed 1).
  2. Sponge Flirty Flamingo ink over the entire Whisper White layer.  Sponge Rich Razzleberry over the top of most areas of the Flirty Flamingo. I left a lighter area of color over the center of the card where the skyline will lay. Sponge Flirty Flamingo over the upper ¼ portion of the layer.  Sponge Basic Black Archival ink over the top edge and ¼ of the way down the sides of the layer. Use the picture as a guide.
  3. Adhere the sponged layer to the card base.
  4. Die cut both the large and small cityscape using the Edgelits on the Basic Black 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of cardstock. You can die cut both images at one time by placing them along opposite edges of the paper.
  5. Adhere the shorter cityscape to the larger cityscape using Mini Dimensionals. You will need to cut some of the Mini Dimensionals in half to cover some of the areas.  Adhere the layered skyline to the base of the card.
  6. Die cut the star using Gold Glimmer Paper scraps. Adhere to the upper left corner of the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Adhere the strip of Gold Glimmer Paper along the right edge of the card base as shown.
Remember, you do not have to invent the wheel to be creative, just copy this project! Did you make it with your own hands? Then you have created!

Happy Birthday....FUN!!!

HI Everyone!  OH...SNAP!!! I promised I would have a new project yesterday and then I didn't share it!  LIFE just got in the way! I worked at both of my part-time jobs. I thought I'd be home by noon, but didn't get home until 4pm...then kids were home...they were fighting...we were fighting because I was mad at them for fighting! I had to make dinner for youth group...EPIC FAIL!! My husband took me out for dinner while the kids were at youth group...I WAS SO THANKFUL! After the kids were picked up, we watched This is Us and I went to bed! EXHAUSTED!

This morning there was no fighting...no chaos...it was WONDERFUL!  We went down the mountain to get our groceries for our church Thanksgiving dinner and our home Thanksgiving dinner.  We left at 8:30 this morning and were home by 1:00...went to three stores...Costco, Winco and Cash and Carry...and even went out for lunch...picked up PIZZA from Papa Murphy's so I don't even have to cook!  AWESOME!!!

Came home and had a nap with the hubby...and now I'm bloggin!

This is a project I made for OnStage.  I joined three organized swaps.  One Birthday Card swap and two Over the Top Tag swaps. I also made about 75 cards (not this one) to swap with anyone else who swaped...a general swap!

Here is the card that I created for the organized BIRTHDAY swap!

My card base is Basic Black and the first mat is Bermuda Bay. Next I scored five lines on a piece of Whisper White cardstock...evenly spaced, but not all the way up. Remember the snowflake Christmas card I shared a while back...same technique (it was back on September 27 if you want to see it!).  I used the Happy Birthday Thinlits but separated the HAPPY from the BIRTHDAY...cool thing...I can use the cut away BIRTHDAY just by using a HAPPY stamp! I glued HAPPY down with Multipurpose glue and stamped BIRTHDAY underneath. I used the Balloon punch to punch balloons in Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay.  After punching the balloons, I embossed them with my Softly Falling embossing folder. I tied a piece of Silver Metallic Thread around the Bermuda Bay balloon to finish it off! The balloons are layered over each other, one above each line and attached with dimensionals! I LOVE the colors used in this card...they are FABULOUS combination!!!
For a little bit of fun on the inside of my card I simply scored one short line on the side and added an embossed balloon with dimensionals!

Here's what I used...

My kids are off school this week and my adult kids are coming home, so I plan  to just enjoy them while they are here! I might sneek out and do a little creating, but I'll be sharing my favorite swap creations with you over the next week. Believe me...you don't want to miss them!

Hey...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today! Have a FANTASTIC weekend! I hope you get everything done that must be done so you can just enjoy your Thanksgiving Holiday! Speaking of THANKSGIVING....have I told you lately how thankful I am for all of you! Thanks for following along and allowing me to share what I love to do!!!

Lovely As A Tree

Good Morning! So...I'm on my way to Salt Lake City for OnStage! I'm traveling with a dear friend and am so happy to be spending time with her! It's gonna be so much FUN catching up with team members and meeting new ones and I CAN'T WAIT to see the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs!!! YIPPEE!!!

I wanna share a card I made a while back using the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. My card base is Night of Navy with the first layer in Whisper White. Next I used a piece of Glossy White paper, dropped a few drops of Night of Navy and Island Indigo ink on it and spritzed it with water. I used a baby wipe to pick up excess ink. After it was dry, I heat embossed the tree with Silver embossing powder after stamping it with VersaMark! Last I added the star cut from Silver Foil paper using the Bethelem Edgelit Dies. The 1/8" Silver Ribbon finishes it off nicely! It's such a gorgeous card...and simple to create...the photo doesn't do it justise!

Here's What I Used!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I know there are lots of blogs out there you can follow and I am THRILLED that you follow mine! Have a TERRIFIC day!

Hometown Greetings

Hey there everyone! Another beautiful day! Hope yours is too! I'm SUPER excited to be heading down to see my son today. I'm gonna stay with him in Woodland because my flight to Salt Lake City leaves at 6:20 tomorrow morning! He just got back from a ten day trip to Iceland and I can't wait to see all of his photos!  I do have a card I'd like to share with you today...BE INSPIRED!

My card base is Whisper White. I cut a 3 1/2" X 4 1/2" piece of Whisper White cards stock and used the Marbled stamp to create the wintery background.  It is stamped in Bermuda Bay. The houses are cut with the Hometown Greeting Edgelit Dies...also in Whisper White with a So Saffron backing. The houses are attached with dimensionals to add depth.  I cut a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut an oval in the center using the Stitched Shapes framelits...save that cut out for a future project! Next I embossed it using the Softly Falling embossing folder. It is attached with dimensionals also.  Last...cut the trees with the Card Front Builder framelits andt attach them with dimensionals. Doesn't it look TOTALLY wintery and coldd...but the So Saffron makes the houses look cozy and warm! This was a fun card to make...I hope you'll give it a try...put your own spin on it...HAVE FUN!!

Here's What I used!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a TERRIFIC rest of your day! I have a few more things to do before I head out...better get busy!

Gourd Goodness and Thanksgiving Facebook Hop

Hello everyone...I'M BACK!!! It's time for that Facebook Hop that I mentioned in today's Tuesday's Tip Video.  Our theme this month is Thanksgiving and below is my card!

I used the Gourd Goodness stamp set to create this card. I stamped the pumpkin image onto a Stitched Shaped circle cut from Very Vanilla cardstock. It is stamped in Peek-a-boo Peach ink. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink.  I used my sponge dauber to distress the edges of the circle and the Painted Harvest designer paper.  I mounted the dp onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and then onto a Very Vanilla card base. I attached the Stichted Circle with dimensionals to the designer paper along with  a Copper Foil pumpkin and Garden Green leaves that are cut with the Patterned Pumpkin dies. Last, I tied a piece of Linen Thread around the stem of the pumpkin. I aso stamped a pumpkin on the inside of the card and the Envelope (which you can see in the photo).

Here's What I used!!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by....AGAIN for tonights Facebook Hop...I hope you'll follow along!!
