Whole Lot of Lovely

Good morning everyone! Blessings to you all this Good Friday! I heading down the mountain this morning to deliver my orders and to get what I need for Easter Sunday's dinner, but first I want to share a card that I just received from my upline, Sarah Wills!

I love how she cut the fruit out of the Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper! This is BEAUTIFUL paper and what a fun way to use it! I also LOVE how she accented with pumpkin pie cardstock and ink...it really makes the card pop.

Also striking on this card is how Sarah embossed the first layer of cardstock with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and then attached it to the card base (which is the same color) with dimensionals! That doily at the bottom and thread tied around the fruit stem finishes the card off perfectly!

I also received a few gifts but I wanted to share this one because I think adding a band around a pack of Basic Rhinestone Jewels is a FUN idea!  She added a note card that is just beautiful that she created with the Petal Palette bundle....I am loving this bundle more and more and really hope that it carries over!!

Well...that's it for today! Thanks a TON for stopping by!  Have a FANTASTIC day and weekend! Happy Easter!!

True Gentleman

Good Morning everyone! I'm hoping all is well with you and that you have a BEAUTIFUL day! I have a doctors appointment this morning for my shoulder.  It's been giving me problems for about eight months now so I'm finally having it looked at.  I thought it  might be arthritis setting in to an old injury...I was in a quad wreck about ten years ago and separated my shoulder.  It seems to be getting worse and is affecting my sleep so I'm getting my act together and having it checked. UGHHHHHH...I hate going to the doctor....UGHHHHH...I HATE getting on the scale...dang it!!! My appointment is a ten this morning so I'm hoping to get out to my workshop when I get home! Real quick before I head out I want to share another creation with you!

Yesterday I shared my spring themed swap card with you so today I want to share my masculine themed swap card. I don't make a lot of masculine cards so I struggle with them. I need to keep challenging myself to make more for the men in my life...I do have four sons, a son-in-law and a husband!

This card has a Dapper Denim base with a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock as it's first layer. I used the True Gentleman designer paper for the next layer. I LOVE this houndstooth paper. It reminds me of matching outfits my mom had made for herself, me and my grandmother.  We wore blue and white houndstooth pants, vest and jacket with a red shirt underneath! Oh...I've got to find that old photo...it will be good for a giggle and a smile!

Back to the card!! I used my Stitched Shapes framelits to cut the Very Vanilla circle then stamped the background image using the Best Birds stamp set, in Soft Suede ink.  The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped in Dapper Denim then punched out with the Tailored Tag punch. I punched a second one in Dapper Denim, cut it in half and layered it underneath the sentiment. Last, I attached it to my card with dimensionals (the circle is attached with dimensionals too), and I glued a True Gentleman Button that I tied a piece of Linen Thread in, to the side of the sentiment! This card comes together quickly and easily!  I hope you'll give it a try!

Ok...I'm off to the doctor!  Have a GREAT day and THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!

Petal Pallete fun!!

Good Morning everyone! What's going on in your neck of the woods? Hope all is well! It's another BEAUTIFUL day here today! Yesterday was beautiful too, but I spent it catching up on The Voice and When Calls the Heart....AND staying close to the bathroom if you know what I mean! I had to reschedule my Shascade class and I missed my son's double header baseball games.  Thankfully he plays again on Friday (which is weird because it's Good Friday) and it's suppose to be sunny and 78 degrees.  As much as I LOVE my jeans and a sweatshirt attire, it will be fun to get the capris out...hope they still fit!!

I joined a couple of swaps this month and I have them all together now so I wanted to share with you the cards that I made!  One swap was a Spring card theme and one was Masculine card them.  Today, I'd like to share my spring card!

This lovely card has a Berry Burst base.  The Whisper White layer is embossed using the Scattered Sequins embossing folder (mine is tricky to use because it is broken and I forgot to order a new one).  The black and white designer paper band is from the Tutti-Frutti 6" X 6" paper pack.  Next I stamped the flowers with the Petal Pallette stamp set using Memento Black ink and colored them using my Stampin' Blend markers.  I cut the flowers and the sprig of leaves out with the Petals and More thinlit dies. I glued the leaves to the band and attached the flowers with dimensionals.  Last I added a few Glitter Enamel Dots to make it sparkle just a bit!  I really LOVE how it turned out and hope it inspires you!

Hey...have I told you lately how much it means to me that you follow my blog! Well...it means the world to me....THANK YOU!!!  Have a fantastic rest of the day!  Stay SAFE and find just a moment to CREATE!!

Magical Day

Hello everyone! How's life? I sure hope it is treating you well! Things are good on the home front!  After a rain delay yesterday we got two baseball games in...lost both, but it's always FUN to watch my boy! He plays again today, in fact, he's suppose to pitch today, but I stayed home with my daughter because she woke up not feeling well at all! We just finished watching Shrek so now I'm blogging before we watch something else! I'm thinking I'll bring in some Stampin' Blends and color while I hang out with her!

Today I'm sharing the last card we made in my March classes! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my classes and all the gals that join me!

The card base is Dapper Denim with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Pool Party that is embossed with the Seaside embossing folder.  Next I used my 2 1/4" circle punch to cut a circle in Bermuda Bay. I also cut a circle from Myth's and Magic designer paper with my 2" circle punch.  Next I stamped the mermaid and the sentiment with the Magical Day stamp set and cut them out with the Magical Mates Framelits!  OH...and I colored the mermaid with my Stampin' Blend Markers!

I also stamped the inside of the card! Using the same stamp set I added a seahorse and some water bubbles then colored them with my Stampin' Blend Markers!  It would be really cute to add to the envelope as well!!

Last...one of the gals in my class...Chris...wanted to make her card for a boy!  It turned out SO CUTE that I wanted to share it with you as well!

I LOVE how she colored the background of the sentiment and aren't  the dragon and knight in shining armor ADORABLE!! I LOVE that my ladies are comfortable enough at my classes to change things up when the want to!

Well...that't it for today!  THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by and have a FANTASTIC rest of your day!

Hold On To Hope

Good Morning everyone!  Hoping things are going smoothly for you this Thursday morning!  I had a terrific class yesterday...15 ladies with three of my downline in the mix! I love this group of gals...they make me giggle, they make me sigh, they make me happy!  After class I went to lunch with a couple of great friends...that's ALWAYS fun!

I'm heading back down the mountain this morning for a baseball tournament! Hoping to squeeze in two games before the rain comes! Before I hit the road I want to share a card we made in yesterdays card!

This card has a Whisper White base with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Sweet Soiree designer paper as the first layer.  Next I attached a Delicate White Doily with a little adhesive in the middle. I used the Hold On To Hope stamp set to stamp a Calypso Coral cross onto a Stitched Oval (from the Stitched Shapes Framelits).  I used the Cross of Hope framelit dies to cut the decorative cross from Silver Foil paper.  I attached it over the stamped image with Mini Dimensionals...one under the Metal Rimmed Pearl and one under the sentiment so they are hidden!  The sentiment is stamped with the same stamp set (both the stamp set and the framelits come as a bundle).  I stamped it with VersaMark and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder!  I think it's LOVELY!

As always...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today!  Have a FANTASTIC DAY!!

You Move Me

Good Morning! I'm up early this morning because I have a class down in Redding and I have a SPECIAL treat for them....Kate Bake's Cupcakes!  Yep, Kate made Snickerdoodle cupcakes, S'mores cupcakes and Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcakes for me to take!  She's making the frosting as I type...what an AWESOME young lady I have! I'm playing hooky from spin class...but I wanted to be here in case she needed me...lol...she's totally got it handled, but it felt weird to go to do something fun while she was home working!

I hope you have a wonderful day today! I want to share one of the cards we'll be making in class today! ENJOY!!

In honor of SPRINGTIME, here's a card that is made with the  Sweet Soiree designer paper!  The card base is Berry Burst with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of the designer paper on top. I used the You Move Me Bundle to cut the butterflies and for the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black ink onto a Whisper White circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I added Pearl Basic Jewels to the small butterfly and a Clear Faceted Gem to the large butterfly.  I LOVE this designer paper...it really can stand alone with just a sentiment, which makes for a really quick and beautiful card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you find time to create and find some inspiration here on my blog! Until tomorrow!!
