Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Good morning stampin' friends!  Top of the morning to you!  I woke up to snow on the mountain tops this morning!  It's SO BEAUTIFUL!  I have to go down the mountain to take my mother-in-law to the doctor so I'm really happy there isn't any snow at my house!  Hoping you have a terrific day!

I'm sharing another April class card with you today! I really wanted to showcase what you can do with designer paper...you've probably noticed that already with my other two cards!

This card has a Bermuda Bay card base that measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  Instead of scoring it in the middle, I decided I wanted a fun fold and scored it at 2 1/8" and and 6 3/8".  Next I cut two panels from Picture Perfect Party 6" X 6" designer paper.  The panels measure 1 7/8" X 5 1/4".  This is the same designer paper pack that I used on the candle card a couple of days ago. You can make gobs of birthday cards with this paper!

Next, I used my Layering Circles Framelits to cut a a Bermuda Bay Glimmer circle frame, I used a scalloped circle and a smaller circle inside of the scallop to make the frame.  You can't tell from this picture, but the stamped image slips into the sparkly frame.  I used the same circle framelit to cut another circle from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and my 1 3/4"circle punch to cut the sentiment circle from Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I added a couple of Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the B and the Y in Birthday and I also tied a bow around the glimmer frame using Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon.

Here's a photo of the card open so you can see how the sentiment circle slips into the scalloped circle frame.  It also shows that I added a scrap piece of the same designer paper that I used on the front of the card to the inside of the card.  It measures 3/4" X 4".

I think is a super fun and cute birthday card!  I hope you'll find a few minutes to give it a try!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a FUN day!
